Timelime of developments

The past eight years, Lolab invested a lot in R&D. Methods and recipes have been tested extensively, certificates have been obtained and prototypes for production lines have been built and tested.

  • Concept for flatpack fireproof cardboard housing.

  • Cellutex was founded. Private equity investment with financial support of Groeifonds Noord Nederland.

  • First milestone: recipe was certified with Euroclass B.

    Focus on fireproof lightweight panels.

  • Cellutex’ progress resulted in a successful investment round and plans for a CellX factory. Important lessons were learned during this scale up phase. Panel production itself is relatively complicated, very competitive and capital intensive. After two intensive years the company filed for bankruptcy. We decided to adjust our course and seek for collaboration with existing panel producers.

  • Maarten Potma and Oep Schilling, two independent successful entrepreneurs joined Lode Bruins.

  • Using the lessons from the CellX adventure, lolab continues to gain knowledge by developing a small prototype machine and improve the impregnation process & recipe which results in a more controllable drying process of the fibre panels.

  • With eight years of experience, several certifications, a pending patent and loaded with dedication lolab is ready to share its knowledge and is looking for collaboration to help sustainable panel production get fire proof in an ecological way.
